Evening Walk thru Rice Military (6+ Miles)

Join Houston Urban Trekkers for an evening hike thru Rice Military.

We will leave together as a group from Tennis Center building located @ 1500 E Memorial Loop Dr. Look for group of hikers gathered in front of building near benches.

You must pay for parking if you park in the lot directly in front of Tennis Center building. Ticket machine accepts credit cards only.

FREE street parking available~ along E. Memorial Loop Dr. It fills up quickly~allow extra time to find a parking spot.

Do not bring your dog. Dogs not allowed @ events hosted by Houston Urban Trekkers.

Hike begins promptly @ 7PM.

Bring a 🔦 flashlight! Neighborhood has lamp posts but we may walk thru some unlit areas.

Walking pace~ 3 miles/HR.

Shoes: Wear comfortable walking/running shoes. Any supportive sports-type running shoe will do.

Restrooms/Water fountains available beginning of hike. No public restroom along walking path. We will be walking in a residential area.

Path: From Tennis Cntr we will make our way to the Westcott /Blossom St. intersection~walk up & down the different streets of Rice Military to get our steps in & return.

Do not leave valuables in your car. Houston is notorious for car break-ins. Leave valuables @ home or place them in your trunk PRIOR to arriving @ park.
