Sunday Evening Holiday Walk thru River Oaks (6+ Miles)

Being that this is the weekend between Christmas and New Years there should be plenty of holiday decorations on display. River Oaks is known for their Christmas decorations! 🎅
Route: From Kroger we will make our way to the W Gray/Shepherd intersection (W Gray becomes Inwood)~ then we will continue on Inwood into the River Oaks subdivision, get our steps in & return.
River Oaks was established in the 1920's by the Hogg family. Includes affluent homes with various architecture: chateau, tudor, plantation, Spanish, palladian, & traditional 1 story homes.
Pace: 3miles/HR.
Bring a flashlight!🔦
Hike begins & ends in the dark. Neighborhood has lamp posts but we may walk through some dim areas.
Bring water. Wear proper walking shoes~ any supportive sports type shoe will do.
Restrooms available inside Krogers prior to event. No restrooms along walking path.
No dogs. Dogs are not allowed on any hikes hosted by Houston Urban Trekkers.
