Join Houston Urban Trekkers for a 6 mile morning walk thru Glenwood Cemetery & surrounding area. Glenwood Cemetery dates back to 1871 as the eternal resting place of some of Houston's most influential citizens.
Event begins PROMPTLY @ 9AM. We will leave the meeting area together as a group to begin hike. I do not check messages once hike begins~ if you arrive late you will not find group @ the meeting area.
Wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes. Any supportive/sports type shoe will do.
Hiking Pace: 3miles/HR.
Hiking Path: see attached map to event description~ we'll spend a few minutes wandering around the cemetery. We will also pass by Henderson & Kane and have a quick look around the store, they are open 8AM - 9PM Mon-Sat, til 8 on Sun Lots of Texas food products
Parking available in HEB's parking garage. You can enter garage from both Washington Ave or Heights Blvd. Limited parking in front of store.
No restrooms along hiking path. Restrooms available inside HEB prior to event.
Do not bring your dog. Dogs not allowed @ any events hosted by Houston Urban Trekkers.
