President's Day Hike @ 🐊Brazos Bend (9+ Miles) LAKES

Join Houston Urban Trekkers President's Day for a morning hike @ Brazos Bend State Park.

Give yourself extra time for checking in and parking. We meet in Nature Center parking lot.

When you arrive~ look at park map at entrance to find Nature Center parking lot. It will be further down the road~ the SECOND parking lot on LEFT side of road.

Entrance fee: $7 per day, per person 13 & older. If you have a Texas State Parks Pass ($70/per yr)~ entrance for you & anyone riding in your vehicle is free.

If you're 65+ or permanently disabled you qualify for Texas Parklands Passport (it's free) and you get into park for 50% off. They round up so entrance fee for Brazos Bend would be $4.

What to Bring: Water, Hat, Sunscreen, Snacks

Wear comfortable trail walking shoes. Any athletic sports-type shoe will do.

Pace: 3 miles/hr

Hike begins Promptly 8:30AM.

Hiking Path: plan is to hike the lake trails. We will see birds, maybe snakes, & alligators!🐊Bring a camera!

I plan to have group back at parking area at noon-ish.

Do not bring your dog. Dogs not allowed at any Houston Urban Trekker events.
