Sunday Morning Hike~Mayde Creek/Cullen Park (6 Miles)

Directions to Meeting Location: Group will meet @ last parking lot NORTH of Saums Rd. From Saums Rd, turn NORTH on S Park View Dr. Follow curving road all the way to end.

When the road ends you have arrived @ the last parking lot.

Satellite Photo shows exactly where group will meet.

Hike begins promptly @ 9AM.

This will be a combination Mayde Creek/ Cullen Park hike. We will begin the hike by walking the Mayde Creek trail (near schools and back behind subdivision) then make our way back to parking lot area and Cullen park.

There's NO SHADE along the Mayde Creek Hike & Bike trail.

Hiking Pace: 3 miles per HR.

VERY IMPORTANT: Bring Bug Spray!! This trail is notorious for Mosquitoes!!

It is starting to get hot outside~ Bring & drink plenty of Water!

Also Bring: Sunscreen, Hat.

Wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes. Any supportive sports type shoe will do.

Do not bring your dog. Dogs not allowed @ any events hosted by Houston Urban Trekkers.

Restrooms: available @ beginning of hike and mid-hike. Restrooms may or may not be open.

Car break-ins are a big problem in Houston, esp. @ hiking trails.

Leave Valuables @ home or stow them in your trunk PRIOR to arriving @ parking lot.
