Friday Morning Walk~Memorial Park~Bayou Wilds West Trails~5+Miles

Parking lot in front of Running Center is a paid lot. Credit card only. Parking cost: $2.20. App is recommended, makes it easy.

If you park across Memorial Dr., give yourself time to walk over. We meet on the front steps of Running Center. See photos. Point on location map should get you right there.

This hike will cover the Bayou Wilds West Trails (commonly referred to as the Colored Trails). Lots of shade, some open areas. Outer trails mostly flat but be prepared for tree roots on inner sections. Some scattered short slopes and climbs.

Bring and drink plenty of water!

Hike starts promptly 8:30AM.

Wear Hat, Sunscreen, Bug Spray. Wear supportive shoes~ any athletic sports-type shoe will do.

Restrooms and water fountain available prior to hike inside Running Center.

Do not bring your dog. Dogs not allowed at any events hosted by Houston Urban Trekkers.
