Join Houston Urban Trekkers for 5.7 mile Weds. evening hike along Buffalo Bayou.

July 29th will be a BUCK MOON! The Buck Moon refers to the traditional Full Moon in July. It coincides with the time of year when male deer (bucks) grow their new antlers.

We'll curl thru Spotts Park (a 16 acre park located btw Waugh & Memorial Dr) then make our way towards the Buffalo Bayou hiking path, get our steps in & return.

Restrooms available inside HEB prior to hike.

HEB can get crowded in the evenings. Allow extra time for parking.

Parking: limited parking in front of HEB. Plenty of FREE parking available inside garage. Do not leave valuables in your car. It's best to not leave anything visible (regardless of value) in your vehicle.

Bring water! No water fountains along walking path.

Bring a 🔦FLASHLIGHT.
Will be getting dark towards end of hike.

Hiking path is lit but we may thru some unlit areas.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. Any supportive/sports type shoe will do.
