How to Build the Future

We welcome builders, hackers, scholars, researchers, and lifelong learners to join us for a meetup in Austin to share ideas on how to build a fantastic future. We believe that many of the hurdles blocking technological progress are failures of will and imagination a la J. Storrs Hall. Our goal is to create a community that will host the first How to Build the Future Conference in Austin later this year or early next year.

In our first meetup, we’ll reflect on and discuss the following question: How can we unblock innovation to create a future with greater prosperity, freedom, creativity, and adventure?

​Absolutely. We love technologists. We also love folks that bring a humanities worldview. Both orienations can bring tremendous value to envisioning and creating a dynamic future.

​Is it okay if I come late and/or leave early?
​Yes.
