Music Reading Bootcamp: A Summer Intensive for Adult Beginners

Details

8 Weeks • In-Person • No Experience Needed
Ever looked at a sheet of music and wished you could actually read it? Whether you sing, play an instrument, or just want to understand what you're hearing, this 8-week Music Reading Bootcamp is your chance to learn — from the ground up.

🎯 What You'll Learn:

  • How to read notes on the treble and bass clefs
  • Understanding rhythms, note values, and time signatures
  • Basics of key signatures, chords, and scales
  • Strategies for sight-reading simple music with confidence

This is a practical, hands-on course designed for complete beginners. Each week, you’ll build skills step by step and try out strategies in a supportive environment. You may not feel confident right away, but you’ll leave with a clear understanding of how music reading works — and how to keep improving.

🥾What Makes This Different (and more fun 🎉):
This isn’t dry music theory. While it’s a focused and intensive course, it’s also interactive, supportive, and fun. Alongside targeted worksheets, we’ll use rhythm clapping, and games (some with prizes!) to practice reading skills as we go — all designed to help make sense of the page and enjoy the process.

👥 Who It’s For:

  • Total beginners with no prior music reading background
  • Adults who want to build or improve their music reading confidence
  • People ready to commit to an 8 week, 8 person (max) course
