How Start and Run a Coffee Shop

Details

In this talk I will go through my experience of opening a coffee shop in London. The fundamental steps I took, the joys and the challenges. Tickets are £15 and include a drink.

About this Event

Are you considering quitting your day time job and starting your own business? Do you dream about owning your own cafe, bakery or restaurant? Are you ready to take the leap?

In 2016 I took the leap and opened a coffee shop in London called Frequency. I quit my job as a music teacher, used up my savings, borrowed money from the bank and just went for it. The experience has been by far one of the most challenging and rewarding things I have ever done.

Now, after 3 years of running Frequency and lots of lessons learned, I am very proud that we are rated amongst the best coffee shops in the city by The London Coffee Guide and humbled by the wonderful reviews we have received over the years.

This talk will be useful to anyone that is thinking of starting their own business, or has recently started one. Although the focus will be on coffee shops I believe the experiences and lessons will be valuable to all entrepreneurs. I will share my journey and shine a light on all the obstacles I encountered along the way.

The aim is that by the end of the talk you leave with a good understanding of what its like to start and run your own business!

We only have 10 spots available so please book in advance through Eventbrite.

I look forward to welcoming everyone and sharing my story!
