We believe that in a world full of swipes and algorithms, there is still magic in a genuine hello. We are a community-driven event series for singles who are tired of dating apps and ready for something real. Something memorable. Something worth telling a story about.

Being single isn't always easy—especially during the holidays, on Valentine's Day, or when family gathers for celebrations like Chinese New Year. We get it. That is why we created How We Met.

Our events are built on empathy. We understand that putting yourself out there takes courage, and our job is to make that journey feel safe, natural, and even fun. Whether you leave with a new connection, a new friend, or simply a great story, our goal is to create moments you will actually remember.

At our events, we blend the warmth of tradition with a touch of modern fun. Yes, we leverage a little bit of AI to power engaging icebreakers and games—but technology is never the focus. You are. The conversation is. The connection is.

Why we are cool:

• Each event is thoughtfully curated to help you move beyond small talk. You will find yourself laughing, sharing, and discovering common ground with people who, like you, are here for something authentic.
• Intimate, Balanced Gatherings: We carefully cap our events (typically 20 men and 20 women) to ensure everyone feels seen and heard. In the future, we will run diversity events as well with emphasis on inclusivity.
• We are giving and hope to collab with more brands in the future to provide gifts where we can, we also want to design culturally resonant activities, we design every detail to spark conversation and create meaning.
• Structured Mingling: Guided matching sessions with engaging icebreaker questions take the pressure off and let the real you shine.
