Howell Friday Food Wander

Join us for a relaxed Friday evening food wander through downtown Howell.

We’re trying something a little new for Local Wander with this one. After spending some time in Spain recently, we've been thinking about how nice it is to move casually between places, have a small bite or drink, and let the evening unfold through conversation rather than settling in for one big meal.

So for this meetup, we’ll walk between a few nearby spots and build the night around quick bites, a casual drink or appetizer stop, something sweet if timing works, and good conversation along the way.

We’ll start at Tin Tusks Taqueria for a quick first bite, then walk through downtown for one or two additional stops. I’m reaching out to a few places ahead of time to see what would work best for a small group, so the route may get a little more specific as we get closer.

The plan is to keep this casual, affordable, and easy for the restaurants. Everyone should plan to pay for their own food and drinks. If a restaurant suggests a shared item or small pre-arranged bite that would require prepayment, I’ll update the event clearly before asking anyone to opt in.

Downtown Howell has a Social District, so people 21+ may be able to carry an approved drink outdoors within the district if they want to. This is not meant to be a bar crawl or a big drinking event. The point is the food wander, the downtown setting, and the conversation.

This event will involve walking between nearby stops, so please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.

Local Wander events are intentionally small so conversations stay easy and people have a chance to actually get to know each other. Please update your RSVP if your plans change so someone else has a chance to attend.

I’ll plan to arrive a little early and will post here once I’m at the starting spot.

6:00 PM: Meet at Tin Tusks for a quick first bite
6:40-ish: Walk through downtown Howell
7:00-ish: Casual drink/app stop, depending on space
7:30-ish: Dessert or sweet stop if timing works
8:00 PM: Official end, with the option for people to continue afterward if they want
