2013 in Review - HPC & GPU Supercomputing

Let's review the current trends in HPC and GPGPU computing as we look ahead to 2014. We'll discuss where practitioners stand and also recap the events and announcements from the SC13 Supercomputing conference. Consider this a round table discussion with some presentation from those who attended.

Topics include:

• NVIDIA Tesla K40 (with live login to a Tesla K40 GPU server)

• Intel Knights Landing coprocessors

• Both of Boston's teams made a good showing in the SC13 Student Cluster Competition. The Bentley University and Northeastern University commodity track team was victorious!

• Interesting hardware and software spotted on the show floor.
