The coming era of Ultracomputing (May you live in interesting times...)

Details
100,000 GPUs (Topic 1)
Hundreds of thousands of GPUs. Gigawatt datacenters. And hand-held computers which give us access to these "thinking machines" in real time. We've come a long way since NYU built the "Ultracomputer". And a long way since this HPC&GPU group was started! Eliot will share the latest news in this space, various opportunities to get involved, and brainstorm on how this group should meet the moment.
Wither HPC Processor design? (Topic 2)
With all that AI CoPiloted design tools can afford us, why have we not seen a flurry of new processors and accelerators built primarily by LLMs? We will take a look back at the trajectory of HPC focused processor design and some new interesting approaches.
