What is HR Roundabout?
The culture of work is fast evolving, and so too is the regulatory and legal environment it sits within. We’re all striving to create a fantastic environment for employees, keeping processes and policies as light touch as possible and avoiding legal risk and pitfalls – but how do we achieve this whilst navigating issues like IR35, SMCR and Brexit..?
The aim of this MeetUp is to bring together HR professionals from the digital sector – especially Tech/ FinTech – and friendly, expert employment law advice from Deloitte, to troubleshoot latest issues and discuss upcoming changes informally. We’ll share case studies and ideas about best practice over refreshments at one of our offices, both near to Moorgate/Old Street.
Who are we?
HR Roundabout was started in 2019 by Lucy Sorell and Felicity Winkley.
Felicity is an experienced People Director with a genuine passion for navigating the growing pains in start-ups and scale-ups in order to create a warm, welcoming and high-performance culture. She has recently joined IG Group, a FTSE250 trading platform, as Head of HR for the UK. Previously she was at TotallyMoney, the credit app which helps everybody move their finances forward and one of the UK’s best places to work according to Best Companies.
Lucy is a Partner in the employment team at Fox Williams. She advises on all stages of the Employment lifecycle, from recruitment, contracts, remuneration, grievances through to disciplinaries, redundancies and negotiated exits. She frequently advises Boards on senior executive appointments and exits, also frequently advising senior executives themselves.
