Explore the Tomoka Basin - Mound Road

Mound Road is located in Tomoka State Park across from the main entrance. It's a beautiful location that has provided some great surprises in our recent outings. From the parking lot you can also access docks that overlook the river and an expansive marsh.

Stop by the booth at the main entrance to pay the daily fee or have your annual Florida State Park pass checked. Go back out to Beach Street and turn right towards the river. You'll see the bridge, but do not cross it. The parking lot for this site is in a picnic and fishing area on the left accessed by a dirt road. You can get a map and directions to the location from the ranger at the check in booth.

Prepare for a trail walk - sturdy shoes, sun screen, bug spray, hat, optics, camera, snacks if needed. Monitor conditions. There may be some wet spots after rains.
