HRCC Masters - Third Annual Halloween Ride - Riverside Cemetery

This ride is definitely a member favorite and one of the most interesting rides we do. Designated a National Historic District in 1994, Riverside Cemetery is Denver's oldest cemetery. Today the 280-acre cemetery is home to some 180,000 internments, including prominent Coloradans such as William N. Byers, Robert Speer, Anne Evans, Justina Ford, Frederick Bonfils, and Ralph Carr. Before visiting Riverside, we will pay our respects to Alfred Packer, also known as the "Colorado Cannibal", in Littleton Cemetery. Finally, we will ride through the Montclair neighborhood, designated Denver's spookiest and the location of Cameron and Alexandra Tune's horrifying house at the corner of Oneida Street and E. Severn Place. It will be a ride of 54.9 miles but only 1,695 feet of ascent. More than a few members have worn costumes on this ride in previous years, so feel free to express yourself on this ride.
