New Year's Eve Night Ride and After Party

Join us as we welcome in 2011 with a mountain bike night ride at Harwood's Mill followed by a New Year's Eve Party at Sasha's house in Newport News. Homemade chili and other food will be provided and participants are requested to bring their beverage of choice. For those who don't want to mountain bike, feel free to come by anytime after 9:30 p.m. Members who RSVP "yes" will receive directions to Sasha's house by email.

Riders should meet at 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Harwood's Mill Fishing Facility. You will need a headlamp and/or bike light and should dress according to expected temperatures. Helmets are mandatory. Although the pace is slower due to limited conditions, bikers ride at their own risk.

Three single-track loops (https://www.evma.org/maps/harwoodstrails.jpg) (difficulty levels vary) and connecting fire trails create approximately 5 miles of off-road bicycling fun at the Harwood’s Mill Mountain Bike Trail (located across from the Harwood’s Mill Fishing Facility on Oriana Road in York County). There are 2 points where the single track ends onto fire roads that allow you to head back to the parking lot if you choose not to continue.
