Topic: Taking DAX to the next level by mastering filter context
Have you ever created a DAX calculation that gave you an answer you didn't expect? Did it use some data from one table but not another, leaving you confused about how it picked? That may have been filter context at work! It's a powerful aspect of Power BI that makes it a great tool, but it can be tough to understand and get right, even if you've been around a while. We will talk about what row and filter context are, how calculate works, and then dig into how to make sure Power BI does exactly what you want the next time you write a CALCULATE statement, including some tips to solve common issues.
