What we’re about

About 20% of the population is said to be a HSP. Having highly sensitive antennas, feeling unspoken things, processing daily events intensively; in our overstressed society these qualities can sometimes feel like a burden. Our group advocates a different viewpoint. Let's see HSP as a talent. Let's enjoy High Sensitivity. Let's discover the benefits it can give to ourselves and to the people around us. For this it's necessary to come together with other HSP's. To feel how great High Sensitivity is when you're in the right environment. An environment where you can let your guards down for a moment. To feel that we're not alone with this talent. To share how we deal with daily situations. One of the most often heard comments of meetup members is how much they enjoy the meaningful conversations.

Unfortunately at this moment we don't have volunteers who can regularly host free social events. We used to have a social meetup every week and sharing circle where personal things could be shared. If you feel motivate to (sometimes) host HSP events at home or in a pub/library, then please send an email to francisco@mindandemotions.nl.

Do you have an idea for a workshop or a pressing need? Let us know and we'll organise an event!
Also other people (like persons with autism) can experience a strong sensitivity. This group is specifically for people who don't experience problems with sensing the feelings of others.

Some basic rules:
1.In this group we communicate in a respectful manner. We respect everyone's own personal experience without evaluating, commenting on or devaluating that experience.
2.For some of us there is a fixed category "High Sensitivity" to which you either belong or not, for some of us it's just a label. For some of us HSP is something you're born with, for some of us it's (partially) the result of our development. We respect these differences and don't try to persuade others to take over our own definitions/way of looking at things.
