This talk will model an approach to data processing based on location, size, and lifecycle. For example, smaller text files will have different constraints than those that require distributed data processing

7 Python Tools to Build a Better Test Strategy
The simplicity and ecosystem of Python have made it incredibly easy to write complex tests. However, most Python talks about testing barely scratch the surface; nobody needs another talk on how to write a unit test.

In this talk, we'll discuss test strategies, and Python tools that can help you level up your testing game. You'll learn how to write custom linters with Pylint, secure your code with taint analysis in Pysa, catch unrepresentable states with mypy, improve the readability of your tests with Hamcrest, understand customer requirements better with behave, generate new test cases with hypothesis, and make your test coverage bulletproof with mutmut.

All of these tools can greatly improve your chances of finding bugs, are are invaluable for anyone developing software.

Pat Viafore is the organizer of HSV.py, the author of Robust Python, a Principal Software Engineer at Cloud Software Group, consults on software development with Kudzera, LLC, and just all around loves software development. Outside of computers, Pat enjoys board games, cooking, and hiking.
