I've completed Chapter 2. My progress can be found here: http://html5brunch.ap...

I decided to create a landing page for the lessons, and to use the information I'm gaining to build this landing page. I'm mostly pleased with what I've got so far, but I also know already that here are things I want to fix. For example, I would like to make some of the page elements "flow" better. If you zoom in and outusing your browser, some of the text does not position themselves well relative to each other. Also, some of my links have a bigger "clickable" area than I would like. I'm sure it's something to do with how I'm using my padding, margins, etc.

I thought David's idea sounded like fun and would be more practice, so I made a landing page as well. I can always post the direct links if people prefer. Here is my work for lesson 2.

I wrapped up Chapter 2 today, and got my site up and running on Google AppEngine. I liked the idea of the landing page as well, so that's the route I took. Mine isn't nearly as good-looking as Maureen's or David's, but I'll work on it as we go along and improve it.

I also managed to get my site going on Google App Engine. Lots to learn this first time around.

Wish I could make the meetup in JP (my old home town) but I'm driving my son back to school.

Hi all,

Lesson 2 finished here: http://html5digital.w...

The interesting point is that if I write the h1 selector before the class selector .purple in the .css file (http://html5digital.w...) as per the guideline in the book, the html pages ( test.html and SmoothieWorld.html) do not know where to find the style rule of h1. So I moved it to be after the class selector, it went into effect.

Have you got the same problem as mine?
