The room where we meet is in the BACK of the building facing away from 101....Plenty of parking in rear of building where you will find us! You can park out front if you just have to walk behind the building to find us , all front doors will be locked. Bell Hill Road is located off of Bedford Center Road and also connects to 101 as well, BUT you can only enter Bell Hill Road from 101 if you are heading WEST toward Amherst. If you are heading EAST on 101 toward Manchester, take a left at the lights on the corner of Meetinghouse Road and Bedford Center Rd. Bell Hill Road is about a 1/2 mile down on your left, just past the Bedford Library. BYPC is at the end of Bell Hill Road, on the right, just before 101. Doing nothing is essential for thinking to occur. Many of the most important thoughts are unintentional—they can be neither solicited nor cajoled but have a rhythm of their own, creeping up, arriving, and leaving when we least expect them. It is important to cultivate the lassitude of mind that clears a place for the arrival of what cannot be anticipated. Idleness allows time for the mind to wander to places never before imagined and to return transformed. —Mark C. Taylor THANK YOU

What we're about

My name is Cecilia Howard and I am a teacher/instructor of mindfulness meditation and MBSR. I have been practicing meditation for well over 23 years now and have found it to be a most useful and fulfilling means of being with the stresses and strains of daily life in a more purposeful way. I am is someone who recognizes the benefits and vital need of making mindfulness practice a daily part of my life.

In addition, I have been trained to teach MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) the program established by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Shrewsbury, MA. This groundbreaking training program was established over 30 years ago for people to learn how to face the ups and downs of daily life, while feeling more confident about their ability to take charge of their health and well-being. It has now given rise to well over 750 programs offered world wide.

I also have made it a priority to participate/attend at least 3 to 5 additional training programs, retreats and seminars per year regarding mindfulness, meditation and MBSR. This is a personal passion of mine and one that I know can do so much for people in a positive way. Life long learning, as well as an embodiment of the practice enhances my ability to train and guide other people in an informed way.

My former career/work experience was in the banking, and later, the manufacturing industry in a sales/marketing/management capacity. In addition to my management responsibilities, I took a leadership role in developing and training, company-wide, employees in the area of sales/new business development, leadership skills, as well as team building strategies, just to name a few. I am a seasoned public speaker and would be most happy to speak with your organization, group, students, or employees about mindfulness and how it can truly help!

I am also a fine art trained artist and writer of a blog called The Mindful Matrix.
