Film Club - March 19 - Io Capitano (2023)

PFA Film Club hosts free screenings of thought-provoking films, followed by a discussion about the raised philosophical issues, for general public. In 2025 meetings are held every third WEDNESDAY of the month at the Cafe of St. Hilda's East Community Centre, 18 Club Row, London E2 7EY. The nearest station is Shoreditch High Street on the Overground. The screening starts at 18:30 pm and we need to vacate the building by 9:00pm. (note the change of times from last year!) We offer complimentary light refreshments during the event.

The film of the month is Io Capitano, a 2023 drama film (Italy, Belgium and France), directed by Matteo Garrone and inspired by actual stories. A Homeric fairy tale that tells the adventurous journey of two young boys, Seydou and Moussa, who leave Dakar to reach Europe.
