This month: A wandering figure emerges from the desert, mute and estranged, carrying with him the weight of memory, absence, and the search for belonging. His journey unfolds as a meditation on the fragile threads that bind families together and the ways silence, distance, and desire shape our lives. Through encounters marked by tenderness and fracture, the story asks how one might repair what has been broken, whether love can survive estrangement, and what it means to try to start again when the past is never far behind. Can you guess the film? Or come and find out on the day!

PFA Film Club hosts free screenings of thought-provoking films, followed by a discussion about the raised philosophical issues, for general public. In 2025 meetings are held every third WEDNESDAY of the month at the Cafe of St. Hilda's East Community Centre, 18 Club Row, London E2 7EY. The nearest station is Shoreditch High Street on the Overground. The screening starts at 18:30 pm and we need to vacate the building by 9:00pm. (note the change of times from last year!) We offer complimentary light refreshments during the event.
