Film Club: Love and Choice (Secret Film)
Details
This year’s films all revolve around the theme of “choice”.
This month: What do we owe to those we love? What do we owe to strangers, to ideals, or to the future? Is the best choice the one that makes us happiest, the one that is morally right, or the one we can live with?
This month's Film Club invites you to explore these questions through a timeless cinematic classic whose central dilemma continues to resonate today. Expect an evening of thoughtful conversation about freedom, responsibility, sacrifice, and the moments in life when choosing one path means letting another go forever. Can you guess the film? Or come and find out on the day!

PFA Film Club hosts free screenings of thought-provoking films, followed by a discussion about the raised philosophical issues, for general public. In 2026 meetings are held every third WEDNESDAY of the month at the Cafe of St. Hilda's East Community Centre, 18 Club Row, London E2 7EY. The nearest station is Shoreditch High Street on the Overground. This screening starts at 6:30 pm and we need to vacate the building by 9:00pm. We offer complimentary light refreshments during the event.
