The class will focus on doing a sketch at the start with the emphasis on breaking down the composition into 3-8 graphic shapes using three values and editing out what’s not needed. Paul will do a demo explaining his full process from block-in to small nuances at the end. Students will be given individual help. Paul uses a lot of humor to make this a fun experience.

Artist Bio:

Paul Kratter is an artist that's in high demand! He's taught at the San Francisco Academy of Art University and is a favorite teacher for Plein Air magazines events. He's not only an excellent & informative teacher his classes are also known to be fun. His excellent sense of humor can be blamed for that.

"Paint long enough and it becomes obvious as to which artists are truly connected to their work. Those who are devoted to quality and continuous improvement. Paul Kratter is one such artist. His dedication to working from direct observation, connection to fellow artists and focus on hard work have put him at the top of his game."

- Matt Smith, American Artist
