Introduction to Ayurveda: Balancing your Mind-Body Constitution
Details
Join us for an engaging introduction to Ayurveda, the ancient "science of life" that offers a personalized approach to health and wellness. In this workshop, you'll learn about the Pancha Maha Bhutas (the five great elements of nature) and how they combine to form the three Doshas (mind-body types): Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, which make up your unique Prakriti, or mind-body constitution.
But why does understanding these elemental qualities matter? Because Ayurveda teaches us the principle of Samanya and Vishesh—the balance of polarities. By recognizing the qualities within ourselves and our environment, we can make conscious choices to restore harmony when we feel off balance. This practice of balancing opposites leads us toward wholeness, which is the true meaning of Yoga: unity with in the self and all around!
Whether you're new to Ayurveda or looking to deepen your understanding, this workshop will give you practical tools to work with your body's natural tendencies rather than against them. We'll explore the doshas, take the dosha quiz, and close with an open Q&A where you can ask questions and connect this ancient wisdom to your modern life.
