Discovering Ourselves in Songs -- (a PCO Tuesday Salon event every 2nd and 4th tuesday)

Like our most popular event, Rumi Roulette, this event comes out differently each time, depending on who joins us, and which songs we choose to listen to.

For now, we're sticking with a stunning new talent from western Canada. There is nothing like the combination of tuneful instruments, meaningful lyrics and an uncannily beautiful human voice to transport us to new places in ourselves.

Next Tuesday evening we'll listen to two or three songs by Canadian singer-songwriter Desiree Dawson, journalling after each listen. In our journalling, we'll seek to discover where the song takes us, sharing what we choose from what we discover. In our conversations we'll focus less on analyzing lyrics than on noticing the effects a song has on our emotions or sense of who we are.
