Lake Mooma Paddle

Let’s paddle the BEAUTIFUL Lake Moomaw in Virginia. Located 3 hours from Richmond and close to Covington and Hot Springs!
We will launch from Fortney Branch Boat Ramp. There is a 5.00 parking fee per day. If you have a Va. state Park pass you won’t have to pay the fee.

There are lots of Airbnb in the surrounding area, several camp sites on the lake and several Hotels in Covington if you would like to arrive Friday evening. Make your reservation early.

Found in George Washington National Forest, it is one of the Best-Kept secrets of the Covington, Va. area. The Lake itself measures 2,500 surface acres and reaches a depth of 152 feet. It’s crystal clear water is unforgettable.
