What we’re about
Join us in the North West
SheData (Empowering Women in Data & Analytics) is a community committed to connecting, inspiring, supporting, and empowering women in data across the UK! Our gatherings will take place once a quarter.
SheData is a Meetup group that welcomes anyone who identifies as a woman or non-binary and has a connection to data. Whether you're currently working with data, aspire to, or have a keen interest in the field, our community is inclusive.
We aim to encompass a broad spectrum of gender minorities within STEM while maintaining a specific focus on data-related topics. At each event, we feature a line-up of distinguished guest speakers who will share their expertise, experiences, and latest trends in the world of data analytics, science, and engineering.
Our topics range from data visualization and machine learning to data ethics and career development, ensuring a well-rounded exploration of the data landscape. There will also be discussions around the every day life as a Woman in Data, returning to work after child birth, the journey to leadership and the unique experiences of women navigating through environments who are very often male-dominated.
We also organize masterclasses on subjects like CV writing, interviewing techniques, and salary negotiation to empower women in advancing their careers in data.
Whether you're a seasoned data professional, an aspiring data analyst, or simply passionate about data's transformative power, this is the perfect platform to learn, grow, and connect with like-minded women in the industry. Together, we'll make data more accessible, diverse, and inclusive.
If there are specific topics you'd like us to cover, please share your suggestions. We are always open to exploring new ideas and collaborations.
Join us at our upcoming events to be part of this dynamic community, share experiences, and gain fresh perspectives on the ever-evolving data landscape. "SheData" is where women with a passion for data come together to learn, collaborate, and chart a course for their data-driven future.
