This is a designated ‘silent’ hike; we will engage quiet for the day. But "Ooh's and Aah's" are encouraged. ”
I am going to unruffle my stress at Virginia Hawkins Falls.
If you value more than a moment of silent, meditative calm; Up to 12 ppl are welcome to join me. I will spend up to 1.5 hours at the falls, eating, reading and pretending to meditate.
This is located south of Rosman, N.C. shortly into S.C.
Description**: SEE DETAILS BELOW.** This event is NOT for beginners or those with health or balance issues.
Pace: 1.5mph – because I’m an ol’ Codger.
Drive time: 25 mi/1.0 hr 1-way
High clearance vehicles reqr’d
Apprx return time: 3:00PM (=5.0hrs)
Carpool contributions appreciated. $3.00 suggested

We suggest masks and open windows while carpooling. Only you know your own health status so judge accordingly if an event may endanger your health or the health of others.
Please bring an extra pair of shoes to avoid bringing your muddy shoes into the driver's car at the end of the hike.
Incessant prattlers will be assumed to be having an affair. Obstreperous raucous yawping is discouraged.
THIS IS A DOG-PARTICIPANT HIKE. This event is NOT for those who are uncomfortable with the antics of fun-loving dogs.
Well trained dogs (you don’t have to yell.) can be 'off-leash'. 'On leash' during the unravelling. Small (lap)dogs may carpool. Large dogs will drive themselves.
Description;
Difficulty: Remember - hikes led by Gordie tend to have challenging surprises. Due to recent events, Ouija boards are no longer permitted.
Virginia Hawkins Falls: Awesome falls with challenging trail. Only 3 mile RT, BUT a 450 ft initial descent; 550ft accum ascent.
We will, also, stop at: Upper Mossy Falls (roadside) on Horse Pasture Rd.
We will spend up to 1.5 hrs at the Falls. Come prepared to meditate, practice your Tai-Chi, 森林浴, read a book, prepare a meal, play a flute. Optional: Pack yo’ lite-weight campchair.

Taste the air of the breezes or soothing snacks.
