We will meet at the Dandelion for lunch.

Parking is a challenge. The parking ramp is across the street. Church & Washington St are ‘fee free’.
We will meet inside, order and find our table(s).

Many of us head next door, afterwards, to visit the thrift store benefiting Safelight, to hunt for bargains.
Please keep in mind that, although the Dandelion is a non-profit, the staff in the kitchen are, in fact, paid (albeit a pittance). Remember to offer a tip, either in cash or added to your plastic.
Description:
Safelight is a nonprofit agency that provides support for victims of interpersonal violence, sexual assault and child abuse. Making it possible for families who want to be free of violent relationships to succeed.
Dandelion, a local eatery, Is the cornerstone of our job training program. Our internship program provides job training for victims of violence and provides an educational and supportive environment for those who may be at risk.
Participants gain experience and strengthen interpersonal skills while receiving additional services for themselves and their families.
These internships help create financial stability for trauma victims while building workforce development within our community.
Safelight offers a broad range of services, provided by staff and over 100 dedicated volunteers. Safelight continues to rely on the generosity of the community for donations of money, time, and goods for our shelter, store, and other programs. Over time, the organization has evolved from a strictly crisis-driven agency to one striving to develop longer-term services addressing community needs such as low-income housing and the unavailability of medical, mental health and substance abuse resources.
