We are the Sloth Hike Team of WNC: “We will get there when we get there.” We dare to go where the ‘real’ hike groups don’t !!
I will be leading a moonlite walk on a trail with minimal tree roots or obstacles. There will be a few pleasant surprises.
Hike Distance: not more than 1.5 miles. Total ascent: less than 100ft.
Pace: very slow because this will be by the light of the moon.
Drive time: Less than ½ hr. (1-way); Apprx return time: 11 PM
I have twelve (8) ‘Red’ flashlights. NO ‘white’ flashlites will be allowed because they blind our night vision.
WAITLISTED PEOPLE WILL BE ADDED AS DRIVERS SIGN ON.
I currently have 2 driver(s) (=8ppl).
Carpool contributions appreciated. $2.00 suggested
Please bring an extra pair of shoes to avoid bringing your muddy shoes into the driver's car at the end of the hike.
This event is NOT for beginners (period).
This is NOT a dog-participant hike.
Incessant prattlers will be assumed to be having an affair. Obstreperous raucous yawping is discouraged.
Description:
I will be carrying the ‘Ent-Ward’ that gives us permission to pass thru the forest.
Remember - hikes led by ‘the Curmudgeon’ tend to have challenging surprises.
What to Bring: rain jacket; sturdy shoes; walking stick & Sense of adventure.
Water & snack bar. Optional: very small camp chair.
All hikes are at your own risk. You are responsible for your OWN safety and adequate equipment.
