Green River Adventures Tubing Event

We are the Sloth Hike Team of WNC: “We will get there when we get there.” We dare to go where the ‘real’ hike groups don’t !!

We are going tubing on the Green River; Up to 12 ppl are welcome to join me.
Float Distance: 4.5mile. Accum descent: all downstream
Cost: $30 prepaid – online.

Return Not earlier than: 3PM (3-4 hrs on the river)

First: RSVP on HFF MeetUp to attend this event.
Second: Watch for notification on Wednesday morning, August 5, to go online to register and pay.
When you register, you will be able to choose the type of tube you want to use. (single standard, ergonomic or double tubes)

Location of start point: Riverside Outpost, 5476 Green River Cove Rd, Saluda, NC 28773.
We suggest slightly open windows while carpooling. Only you know your own health status so judge accordingly if an event may endanger your health or the health of others.
Please bring an extra pair of shoes to avoid bringing your muddy shoes into the driver's car at the end of the hike.

DESCRIPTION;
Remember - hikes led by ‘the Curmudgeon’ tend to have challenging surprises.
Water nymphs tickle, try not to laugh too hard – they scare easily.
Pack a snack/lunch and drink in waterproof bag to keep with you while tubing. We can leave keys at the check-in site. If you bring your phone, put it in a waterproof bag with a lariat. Wear water shoes that will stay secure on your feet! If water is low, we may be walking part of the river. Sunscreen (???)
Tube the Green River in single standard, ergonomic or double tubes. Green River Tubing will handle the gear and logistics, while you enjoy this mellow river with occasional Class II rapids. 4.5-mile option (3-4hrs). This trip starts at the Riverside Outpost located at 5476 Green River Cove Rd, Saluda. Please note that river levels vary daily and are rain dependent. We’re having fun no matter the conditions!
All hikes are at your own risk. You are responsible for your OWN safety and adequate equipment.

There are certain risks inherent in any outdoor activity. Each participant, by signing up to attend this event, agrees to release from liability the leader(s), Hendo Fun Friends, its Partners, Affiliates, and members for any accident, injury, illness, or personal loss which might occur while participating in this activity or while traveling in any vehicle during this trip. Each participant further agrees to abide by the rules and regulations concerning safety, to follow instructions of the leader(s), and not to become intentionally separated from the group. The leader(s) also has the right to use any images collected on this trip for recording on website photo collections.
