Jump Off Rock offers spectacular scenic mountain views and photographic opportunities during all four seasons of the year.
The forested hiking trials meander below the overlook..
Difficulty: some short sections of minor challenging footing.
Suitable for beginners? NO; Moderate steep slopes & occasional challenging footing. Sections of short staircases.
Due to recent events, Bigfoot discussions are no longer permitted.
A Sloth Walking Team event: A casual pace.
The Curmudgeon will lead this event. Up to 12 ppl are welcome to join us.

Hike Details:
Social ‘hour’ at 10:00 AM. Flotilla leaves at 10:10a
Length: 0.8 mile RT; Accum Ascent: 150 ft; Pace: 1.5 mph.
Drive time: 15 min on a winding, mountain-climbing blacktop road
Trlhd: Google Map = “4433 Laurel Park Hwy, Laurel Park, NC”
Apprx return time: 12 noon
Optional: Lunch TBD after the walk.
Carpool contributions appreciated. $2.00 suggested
THIS IS A DOG-PARTICIPANT WALK. This event is NOT for those who are uncomfortable with the antics of fun-loving dogs.
Dogs (and Masters) required to be ‘on-leash'. Small (lap)dogs may carpool. Large dogs will drive themselves.

We suggest open windows while carpooling. Only you know your own health status so judge accordingly if an event may endanger your health or the health of others.
Please bring an extra pair of shoes to avoid bringing your muddy shoes into the driver's car at the end of the hike.
Incessant prattlers will be assumed to be having an affair.
