Blue Ridge Symphonic Brass Fall Concert

Greetings, friends and music lovers... We are pleased to announce dates for our upcoming concert season, and hope that you will join us!

The first concert will take place on Sunday, November 1 at Brevard First United Methodist Church, 325 N. Broad St., and will begin at 3:00 PM. You are also invited to attend a reception following the concert, so please plan now to attend.

Maestro Hairston has planned a wonderfully varied program that will include selections such as Hallelujah Fanfare that features three antiphonal groups of brass; Promenade from Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition"; the toe-tapping Big Brass Blues; an original version of the hymn O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing followed by a stirring 1995 arrangement of the tune by composer Joan Pinkston - and more!

We do hope to see you there, and if you could invite your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers we would be most appreciative.
