Located in the western-most backside of Chimney Rock St Pk – above the Edneyville orchards. With vast views of the NC Piedmont. On a clear day, you can see Kings Mtn (80 mi/Charlotte)
Remember - hikes led by ‘the Curmudgeon’ tend to have pleasant surprises.
I will be carrying the ‘Ent-Ward’ that gives us permission to pass thru the forest.
Difficulty: “off-trail conditions”. Some very challenging footing along unfenced cliff edge; plus 'cliff edge' overlooks. A few steep challenging footing sections. Middle ¼ mile will be ‘off-trail’ thru brush.
Bring cutting snips and folding handsaws if you have them.
Up to 8 (only) of you are welcome to join me.
IF YOU HAVE AN ORANGE VEST; WEAR IT. HUNTING SEASON HAS STARTED. ;-) THEY ARE INEXPENSIVE AT WALMART....
We are the Sloth Hike Team of WNC: “We will get there when we get there.” We dare to go where the ‘real’ hike groups don’t !!
