Purchase class here: www.thelumberdistrict.com/learn/p/spoon-carving

Learn to hand carve and shape your own wooden spoon from start to finish! Open to any skill level, this class will cover basic safety and technique. We will be using locally sourced green wood. Traditional woodworking tools such as wedges, hand saws, carving gouges, drawknives, and spokeshaves will be used. The skills and techniques learned from spoon carving can lend themselves to larger sculptural pieces or furniture such as stools and chairs. For many people once you start carving, the hard part is putting the tools down!
Tools and Materials are provided.
Class will take place on August 22nd, and run from 9am - 4pm.
