Salty Mahjong Networking 🀄️

This is a new social club for people who want connect over clinking tiles. Salty Mahjong Hawai’i hosts game nights, socials, and retreats for every skill level 🀄️

Never touched a tile? Perfect. We'll have Hong Kong-style teachers on hand to get you playing within your first session (all styles welcome at the table).

Already a player? Bring your own set and come wash tiles

Enjoy good company, good snacks, and the satisfying clatter of tiles hitting the table. Come as you are, leave with a handful of new friends.

The basics:

30 min Event introduction, and mahjong basics lesson for new players.
2 hours of mahjong - Never played before? That's totally fine, we'll have HK teachers walking around the room.

When/where:
Sept 14th @ Entrepreneur's Sandbox from 5:30PM to 8:00PM
(moving forward, we'll host mahjong networking the second Monday of each month!)

$5 for Sandbox members / $10 for non-members. If you're a member, reach out to info@sandboxhawaii.org for the promotion code.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to check in. We will be checking everyone in via Meetup, so please sign up via Meetup. Registration is only accepted through Meetup - we're unable to accommodate day-of sign-ups, cash payments, or registrations outside of Meetup. Space is limited!

Parking: Plenty of street meter parking on Ilalo St, free after 6 p.m. ($2/hr before). Sandbox parking lot (makai side) $2/hr 24/7 - Hub Members free in Sandbox spaces.

Sandbox Entrance: Please use the entrance on the Makai side of the building.
