Parsl is a Python library that provides tools to enable parallel execution of both Python code and scripted tasks in any language. Parsl abstracts data and execution resources to allow the same code to be easily transported among working environments ranging from local devices to cloud providers to super computing research clusters. Though primarily designed for high-performance and scientific computing, its flexibility and straightforward implementation allow any existing code to be easily adapted to realize speed gains from parallel execution.
