Earth and Sky: A Lammas Full Moon and Spiritist Ecology (IN-PERSON)

Spiritual Ecology, Earth-Based practices, and New Magick In Person, Germantown, NY 12526: Lasher Park, Hudson River Overlook SATURDAY August 9, 7:00 pm-8:30 pm

On the occasions of the Lammas Harvest Moon, an in-person meet and greet for spiritists, ecologists, and those interested in understanding more about earth-based practices that reverence spirit as well as earth -- Gaia.
As summer begins its long turning toward autumn, we gather at a sacred seasonal threshold—Lammas, from the Old English hlāfmæsse, or “loaf-mass,” an ancient festival marking the first fruits of the harvest.

Celebrated across Celtic and Anglo-Saxon cultures, Lammas honors the the interdependence of land, labor, and divine blessing.Though we will not see the full moon on this August evening, her gravitational pull is already present—an invisible force that, like many sacred energies, works in silence and in shadow. We will tune our spirits to her unseen presence, letting her remind us of the deeper cycles shaping our lives.

This gathering is also a call to spiritual ecology—a way of understanding the Earth not simply as environment or resource, but as a living, intelligent system in which we are embedded. At its heart is reverence: the recognition that soil, sky, seed, and spirit are all connected, and that healing must begin in relationship. Here, we draw from ancient earth-honoring traditions as well as modern philosophies such as the Gaia Hypothesis.
In this view, Earth is not a passive stage for human drama, but an enspirited organism—a self-regulating being whose biological and atmospheric systems are deeply interwoven and mutually sustaining.
To engage in spiritual ecology is to move from mastery to reciprocity, from control to care. It is to recognize that the Earth is not simply what we walk upon—it is what we belong to.

On this night, we will honor that belonging.
We’ll give thanks for what is ripening in our lives.
We’ll bless what is being released back into the soil.
Come with open hands.
Leave with spirit fed.

No creed, no doctrine: All spirits welcome.
