What we’re about
ATTENDEES UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST HAVE A PARENT OR GUARDIAN WITH THEM.
Hudson Pride Center’s YouthConnect Program offers LGBTQ+ youth between the ages of 13 and 24 weekly programming that supports the healthy building of community, peer-to-peer connections, and collective/individual wellness and empowerment. Through this program, Queer youth have access to events, workshops & support groups that build on community care, self-love, uplifting & honoring individual/collective strengths, mental health awareness/support, learning leadership skills, embracing & appreciating diverse racial/cultural/intersectional identities, exploration of gender & sexuality beyond the binary, inclusive, safe sex education and self/community empowerment through creative art, writing, and self-expression!
YouthConnect also provides direct 1:1 virtual support to assist Hudson County youth with accessing LGBTQ+ affirming mental health services, emotional/mental/physical wellness resources, substance-use treatment & care referrals, legal support resources for the advocacy & protection of undocumented youth, linkages to suicide prevention/crisis support resources and connections to HIV/STD testing and PrEP Services/Counseling through Hudson Pride Center. Trans Support Services are also provided for youth needing access to HRT, letters of support, referrals for gender-affirming surgeries, and help with legal name/gender marker changes.
