*The first part of the hike is a gradual ascent. We will go slowly. We will pause. You must be ok wt this. The second part will be a more consistent moderate pace.

Long ago Colonel Rochester bought three farms on a mountainside and created an estate. The remains of the farms and his home still exist! I have a great pic. The area has some of the most amazing stone walls, and stone farm remains that I’ve ever seen!

The Hike: Around 6-6.5? very uneven miles. Combination of a very long old driveway, trails, bushwhack. Long steady ascent up the driveway. Moderate.

The Meetup: Big Indian Park. Then carpool 3 minutes to the trailhead where’s there’s very limited parking. I’ll be asking for a few volunteer drivers. Thanks.

Bathrooms: Port-o-John at the meetup.
