Harriman Mines History Hike.

Let’s do a Monday Mine hike in Harriman. This is a half hike with stops to explore the very impressive Hogencamp and Pine Swamp Mines.

Suggested donation $5.00 as Meetup has doubled what they charge me.

All start waitlisted wt preference to regulars while endeavoring to add a few newbies. Everyone is expected to stay wt the group and not run ahead or lag behind.

After the hike there will be an option to picnic at the very nearby Kanawauke Lake. Optional of course, but great if a few bring something to share.

The hike: Around 5-5.5? miles. Slightly slower paced hike. Trails, bushwhack and some minor rock scrambling. Slippery ups n downs wt pole(s) strongly recommended. Hogencamp was an elaborate campus wt multiple building foundations as well as mining. Pine Swamp has interior access and is truly amazing. Lunch will be there.

Bathrooms: None so plan accordingly.

Liability waiver signature required. I haven’t done this version of the hike before so finish time and distance are just best guesses. Do not quote me. Add more time for the optional picnic after. No Guests, pets, runners, beginners, early outs. If you’re on the waitlist you can’t just show up.
