Camp Bluefields Adventure History Hike.

It’s very important to read all the info as this isn’t for everyone. Also, smaller group due to limited parking. Car pooling encouraged.

Suggested donation $5.00 as meetup has doubled what they charge me. All start waitlisted wt preference to regulars who haven’t been here. Everyone is expected to stay wt the group. Please don’t run ahead or lag behind. Thanks.

The hike: We will explore the tunnels and former grounds of Camp Bluefields while learning its history. The tunnels are mostly dark. There is a fun creepyish aspect to it. Crickets etc. Amazingly cool!! You must not only be ok wt this, but embrace it enthusiastically. You need to have two sources of light. 5.5? miles. Easy. BUT, very extensive off trail bushwhack. Nothing too difficult but you have to be ok going off the trails. Very minor scrambling. Super fun.

Parking: Very limited. We’ll form two rows and block ourselves in if necessary, something we’ve done on n off. The group size is determined by the number of cars, not people.

Batrooms: None. Many nearby along Rt 303.

Liability waiver signature required. No guests, pets, beginners, runners, early outs. If you’re on the waitlist you can’t just show up. Distance and finish times are approximations only. Never quote me.
