Lasdon Arboretum and {optional} Muscoot Farm History Hike.

It's been two years since we visited this absolute gem. This is a short hike/walk/explore in a unique and exceptionally beautiful place with an optional fun part two bonus. 4.5? easyish miles.

Suggested donation $5.00.

Everyone is expected to keep up and stay with the group.

All start waitlisted. Preference to regulars while endeavoring to add a few newbies.

The finish time is best guess assuming you stay for the bonus. We may also get cream at famous King Kone after Muscoot

The Event: We meet at the main lot of Lasdon Arboretum Park and will explore the entire grounds. This includes: Gardens, historic buildings, dinosaur garden, woods, lake, lawns, historic colorful gazebo, cool war memorial trail, more. We will also cross over to DEP property, I have a permit, and see a pretty waterfall at an old dam while having lunch there. Loop hike, easyish, 4.5? miles wt a few tall weeds to walk through. Some very minor poison ivy along side a trail. We will pass by it, not walk through it. Done 1:30?

Optional Bonus: Just down the road is the super historic and fun Muscoot Farm Park. Animals, buildings, trails, fields, exhibits, mansion, more. To walk around the campus is about a mile. I'm not planning on hiking the trails. This part is casual and you are welcome to hike the trails by yourselves if you like. Easy. Done 3:00? unless you do more of the trails.

Formal bathrooms at both places. Refreshment stand at Muscoot.

NO GUESTS. Liability waiver signature required. No pets. Distance and finish times are estimates only. Never quote me. If you're on the waitlist you can't just show up. No runners, slow pokes or early outs.
