Bear Mountain Ice Skating!!!

Wahoo!! Ice skating is great exercise, and a great way to get outside without devoting a whole day to a hike or a walk. This is always a great time, fresh air, great friends, and a delicious meal afterwards, location TBD but most likely the Barnstormer in Ft. Montgomery.

The skating times are in hour & 1/2 blocks, ours will be 12-1:30. You should arrive a bit early to get through the ticket line and get your skates on, so I posted 11:45 to arrive. Parking will be $10 per car (carpool?), skating fee is $5, and skate rental is $10. Observers inside the rink area are $2. Lockers are .50 and only open once. If you have skates, bring them. Refreshments are available.

If you have an Empire Pass you skip the parking fee. If you have one and want to take passengers please post a comment, or if you want to carpool.

Minimum 4 people to make this work. Stay tuned!!! If we don't get 4 people by Friday evening I will post Plan B which will be Long Dock Park.

If you are a novice skater don't worry!!! We will hold you up for at least a little while!!! The wall is your friend and we love to stop and chat.... :-) They also have really soft ice for those that need it. ;-)

The Bear Mountain Inn is located at the intersection of the Palisades Parkway and 9W, and if you've never been there you really should visit it.

They are working on the parking lot, be aware....
