About us
About:
This group was started to find vegans and vegan wannabes in the Hudson Valley. We combine Social Events and Social Action by enjoying delicious, healthful vegan food and encouraging others to do so. The more people who choose vegan food, the fewer farmed animals will be raised. You do not have to be vegan to join, just eat like one when you are with us. We get together to learn and to inform others.

RSVP & Attendees:
Please note that some of our events will fill up quickly. You may notice just a few attendees here on Meetup, but others not on Meetup attend as well. We encourage you to RSVP as soon as possible if you would like to attend an event.

Pay or Donate:
Payments and donations to Hudson Valley Vegans are accepted via Zelle or check. Please go to: Hudson Valley Vegans Pay or Donate for payment and donation information. We ask that you submit payment for an event at least 5 days prior to the event to secure your reservation. For certain events, we will also accept payment at the door, or we will ask for payment by a specific date. Events will have payment information clearly stated in the event announcement.
Your donations and attendance at events help us to meet our expenses and keep HVV running. We always appreciate your generosity!

3rd Annual Spring Equinox Event!
On Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 1:30 pm, Hudson Valley Vegans will gather to celebrate the Spring Equinox with Ken and Ruth at their home in Pine Plains (address emailed after you RSVP and pay).
Our hosts will serve "Vegan Empanada Flavors" from around the world as the main dish. If you wish to bring an appetizer or dessert, please do so, along with serving dish and serving utensils. This will be our 3rd annual Equinox event, so we hope you will join us! We also will be learning more about Anonymous for the Voiceless, a Mid-Hudson Valley is a grassroots animal rights organization that uses peaceful, public outreach to give animals a voice.
