Mountain Scout Survival School is located in Hopewell Junction, NY, and welcomes all outdoor enthusiasts who have always been curious about learning the beautiful primitive skills of the Native American peoples. These skills follow the 4 sacred arrows of survival: shelter, water, fire, and food. You can also learn about animal tracking, primitive tool-making, edible and medicinal plants, and so much more.
Enjoy communing with nature on the school's beautiful 90-acre property in the Hudson Valley (easily accessed by the Metro North train to Beacon), covered with forest, mountains, streams, and a lake. Wildlife of all kinds abounds!
The school is led by founder and instructor Shane "White Feather" Hobel, who has been teaching these skills for 30 years. Mountain Scout is known as one of the top 10 survival schools in the country.
What you learn here about nature, and yourself, could be truly life-changing!
